SALARY
MG-10: $135,469 (Step A), $140,888 (Step B), $146,524 (Step C) annually
The compensation for internal candidates shall be paid at the step of the higher classification which is at least five (5) percent greater than the bargaining unit member's monthly salary, including any longevity increment.

SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Vice President of Student Services, the Dean of Counseling Services provides leadership, oversight, and administrative management for Counseling Services to support student success and institutional effectiveness. This position is responsible for strategic planning, budget development and management, personnel supervision and evaluation, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality counseling programs and services aligned with the College's mission, vision, and strategic goals. The Interim Dean collaborates with faculty, staff, and campus and district partners to advance equitable access, compliance, and continuous improvement across counseling operations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: Master's degree from an accredited institution plus five years of achievement in management, supervision or leadership programs, departments or divisions within an institution of higher education, with emphasis in one or more of the areas to which the Dean position is assigned.

Under the direction of the assigned manager, plan, organize, and direct the operations of a major instructional or student services division; supervise and evaluate the performance of certificated and classified personnel.
